Old Billy Joe

Old Billy Joe

Three different stories I thought about telling here on Facebook tonight, one about a flatmate I had who used to put on music and dance in her room, and about a teacher I had and we would learn many different versions of a particular thing, and another story I forgot by now, and each single time I realized the people at stake or their acquaintances are present here, and that the past is congregating here on Facebook every evening for a few years now, and it’s simply strange – imagine yourself sitting with Old Billie Joe, looking at the campfire and at the lake, seeing reflections of the foliage in the water, and suddenly remembering Jamie Gold Heart and telling how once Jamie walked the entire main street with his shoes worn on the opposite legs because he had lost some bet, and you both sit and roast damn good with memories of Jamie Gold Heart and sigh and say where is he today and what’s going on with him and what is he up to, and all this long, and both of you know it perfectly well, Jamie is sitting in the bushes and listening to the conversation.
